The link between fashion and cinema is an indissoluble relationship that has always existed, different art forms that intertwine so much that they are lost in each other. Mutual influences, in which costume designers and artists take as an example the models made by designers and where the clothes worn by the stars become in turn a source of inspiration for both emerging and well-known fashion designers. Worlds in which the importance of the dress, unlike what many people think, makes the monk. Fashion houses compete to dress the stars not only in front of the camera, but also on the red carpet. The red carpet catwalk becomes for every designer the most important showcase for their own creations. An unmissable opportunity, therefore, also for young designers such as Fabiana Gabellini who with her fascinating fashion participated in the 77th Venice Film Festival.
The Haute Couture evening gowns has been chosen by the international actress Carlotta Galmarini: born in Italy and graduated in History and Literature at the Sorbonne University in Paris. Fascinating and erudite, she began acting during her studies in Paris, originally through the French language. It was in Paris where she performed her first theatre show. She then returned back to Rome and continued her acting training, but rapidly worked to improve her English diction. She went on to study acting in both London and New York. In 2012, she worked in various theatre shows, TV series, short films, commercials and music video features as the lead actress. In 2019, she received the Best Actress in Thriller Award in Los Angeles for her performance in the short movie “The Mirror”. An actress of great importance, therefore, as an Ambassadress for fashion by Fabiana Gabellini, two different personalities but similar for culture, flair, charm and charisma. Fabiana Gabellini’s creations have enchanted Venice with their refinement. Modernity and classicism, East and West split as a representation of the contemporaneity, geometric lines coexist with the Italian sartorial tradition typical of Fabiana Gabellini’s Haute Couture creations. The black gown, as well as the fuchsia dress and the silver one have emphasized the natural beauty of Carlotta Galmarini giving her that touch of style and elegance that perfectly blend with the beauty of Venice and the importance of its International Film Festival. Fabiana Gabellini wanted to emphasize her uniqueness and her link with art through the images that are deliberately taken not on the red carpet but in the magnificent Giardini della Biennale (or Venice Giardini).
