In 1903, the Wright brothers created an aircraft with a wingspan of 12 meters, a weight of about 340 kg (including the pilot), and a four-cylinder internal combustion engine with 12 horsepower. They had to build the engine themselves because the ones available on the market were too expensive. The frame of the plane was made of wood, the wings were made of heavy fabric, and the control system consisted of a rudder that operated some cables.
